FREE CLASS: STRATEGIC ABANDONMENT
Strategic Abandonment: The Case for Quitting
In this class, I’m teaching the concept of strategically abandoning your ideas and stories.
A good life is about subtraction, not addition. And the biggest challenge you’ll have is the fight with yourself about abandoning things.
Quitting isn’t easy. I used to be a determined non-quitter. But now, with nearly two decades of strategically abandoning things that don’t sit right with my soul, I’m an expert at walking away from things that look good on paper.
So I can say that this is one of the harder lessons I teach. It takes time and practice, but my favorite part of leaving is the discovery that you aren’t actually losing anything.
Things don’t have to go away forever when you abandon them. They can take new shapes. You can take pieces of what you’ve done and incorporate it into something new.
Adopting Strategic Abandonment as a life philosophy is, at heart, the most hopeful, optimistic way to live.
By the end of the class, you’ll have:
- A new idea of quitting
- An analogy for your life as a business and you as the CEO
- How to conduct a Strategic Abandonment Assessment of your goals and life
